Trading Bot Development
Automated trading bot development focused on order handling, paper trading, position reconciliation and operational risk controls.
From signals to an order lifecycle
A buy signal is only the start of an execution workflow. The bot must track submitted, accepted, partially filled, cancelled and rejected orders. I design execution logic around these states so position changes can be traced to broker responses.
Handle uncertain responses and restarts
A timed-out request may still have reached the broker. Blind retries can duplicate exposure. The design should persist order intent, reconcile open orders and positions, and pause when state cannot be established. Restart tests should verify that the bot resumes without replaying old signals.
Control exposure before sending orders
Project scope can include quantity limits, position sizing, stale-data checks, trading-session restrictions and a manual stop. Paper trading exercises the workflow before live deployment, but simulated fills cannot establish actual execution quality.
Potential project deliverables
- Order-state tracking and reconciliation
- Paper and live execution adapters
- Position sizing and configurable exposure limits
- Restart, rejection and timeout test scenarios
The final scope, timeline and cost follow a review of your requirements.

Frequently asked questions
Does an automated bot guarantee profitable trades?
No. Automation implements rules; it does not make a strategy profitable. Data quality, market conditions, fees and execution can materially change outcomes.
